Terms of Service
The terms for using QRius
These terms are an agreement between you and Uminber Designs for your use of QRius at qr-ius.com and app.qr-ius.com. By creating an account or using QRius, you accept them.
Who can use QRius
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use QRius for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that organisation.
Your account
Give accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password safe: you're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, tell us straight away at help@uminber.in.
The beta
QRius is in public beta. Features may change, be added or be removed, and things may occasionally break. During the beta every plan is free. Before any price applies, we'll tell you by email so you have time to choose a plan or leave.
Plans and payment
After the beta, paid plans are billed in advance through our payment partners. Each payment covers one plan period, and plans don't renew automatically: when a period ends you can renew it or move to another plan. Prices are shown before you pay and exclude taxes; customers in India are charged GST. We may change prices for future periods, and we'll tell you before a change affects you. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
Static and dynamic codes
A static code holds your content directly, so it keeps working whether or not you keep an account. A dynamic code holds a QRius short link that redirects to your destination, so it works while your account is open and the code is active. If you close your account, delete a dynamic code, or we suspend it under these terms, it stops redirecting. You can download your codes at any time. Test every code on a few devices before you print it.
Acceptable use
You must not use QRius, or any code made with it, to:
- break the law, or help or encourage anyone else to;
- phish, scam, spread malware or send people to deceptive destinations;
- send spam or other unsolicited messages;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- share sexual content involving minors, or content that promotes violence or hatred;
- attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer QRius, or get around its limits or security.
We may pause or remove codes, or suspend accounts, that break these rules, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into QRius: links, text, logos and other content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display it, only to run QRius for you. You're responsible for your content and for where your codes send people, and you confirm you have the right to use everything you upload.
Scan analytics
If you turn on scan tracking for a code, you're responsible for telling the people who scan it, where the law requires that. We only give you aggregated statistics, never the identity of the people who scan.
What belongs to us
QRius, its software and design, and the QRius name and logo belong to Uminber Designs. These terms don't give you any rights in them beyond using QRius as these terms allow. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Other services
QRius works with services we don't control, such as Google sign-in, payment processors and the websites your codes link to. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
Availability
We work to keep QRius available and your data safe, but during the beta we don't promise any particular uptime. We sometimes pause the app for maintenance; printed dynamic codes keep redirecting while we do.
Ending your account
You can stop using QRius at any time, and ask us to close your account by emailing help@uminber.in. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law requires us to. When an account closes, its dynamic codes stop redirecting, and we delete its data as our Privacy Policy describes.
Disclaimers
QRius is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that every device or app will scan every code.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Uminber Designs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to QRius is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for QRius in the 12 months before the claim and INR 5,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Indemnity
You'll compensate Uminber Designs for losses and reasonable costs arising from claims about your content, or from your breach of these terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, though we'll always try to settle it with you by email first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page and, for significant changes, email you before they take effect. If you keep using QRius after that, the updated terms apply.
